Project Description

In the year 2002, General Mills/Pillsbury had an urgent need to implement a new food processing line in a short amount of time. Travis Electric Company provided the management, skill, and work force needed to accomplish this task. The time allotted for this project was approximately 4 months, with 180+ electricians working two shifts. New variable speed controllers, programmable logic controllers, and various sensors and indicators were installed, connected, and tested before the new line was functional. From 1990 to 1999, Travis Electric helped the plant maintain their food processing lines as well as modifying, relocating, and installing new processing lines to accommodate and improve a variety of product manufacturing needs.
